Data we collect

• Account data: email address, login credentials, date of birth (age check), acceptance of terms.
• Financial data you provide: uploaded statements, transactions, merchants, amounts, currencies, accounts, budgets, goals, assets, liabilities, investments and wish list items.
• Support data: messages and attachments you send us.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, log and usage data, error reports.

Why we use it and legal basis

• Creating your account and providing the Service — performance of our contract with you.
• Processing your financial data to categorise, analyse and display it — performance of contract.
• Security, abuse and fraud prevention, and service reliability — our legitimate interests.
• Product improvement and aggregated usage analysis — our legitimate interests.
• Customer support — performance of contract and legitimate interests.
• Marketing emails, where used — your consent, withdrawable at any time.
• Meeting accounting, tax and other legal duties — legal obligation.

Who we share it with

• Hosting, database, authentication and error-monitoring providers acting as our processors.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
• AI processing providers, where you use automated categorisation or insights.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
• Authorities where we are legally required to disclose.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with appropriate safeguards.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal and financial data is deleted or anonymised, except where we must keep records to satisfy legal, tax or accounting obligations.

Your rights (GDPR)

As we are established in the European Union (Lithuania), the GDPR applies. You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Contact support@ledgerline.app and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija) or your local data protection supervisory authority.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-user database rules so that only you can access your financial records. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. Any analytics or marketing cookies are only set where permitted, and you can manage or clear them in your browser settings.
